Facepalm.

I just bought a 9-Pin to 4-Pin Firewire adapter for my Macbook Pro to connect to my audio interface. After opening the package, I noticed that this cable wouldn’t work. BUT if would have looked at the huge picture on the box to begin with, I wouldn’t have wasted an hour and $40 bucks.

I like Pinterest. I don’t LOVE it, but it has a beautiful interface and an abundance of photography and graphic design just like here on Tumblr. The main differences between the two sites is that Tumblr still has customizable layouts, messaging/ask boxes, and much more variety for posts (text, video, audio, etc). I forget if Pinterest has video, but it certainly doesn’t have a text feature, which means it’ll never replace my obsession for this site.

I want to limit the amount of photo images I reblog from now on. I want to keep my little blog as an actual blog where I document little things happening in my life. It’s not that I don’t love all of the beautiful culture you’re exposed on this site, but I can’t keep wasting away hours and hours of valuable study time.

Today is the last day of my Audio 201 semester. We’re taking a trip to 3 recording studios to San Antonio. The last semester starts in mid-April, then I’ll be walking out with both a Studio Recording certificate and a Live Sound Mixing certificate. (Awww Yeah)

I want to start recording musicians and singers around San Anonio - Austin to get more experience in producing and recording music. This institute has given me the book smarts and technical shit, and I need to apply it to the real world. So, that being said, if you love to sing, and want to make a song (or three), get in touch with me. OR if you’re in a band or knows a band that wants to get their music recorded, get in touch with me. I’ll be happy to lend my services for free, and I use professional equipment. I lack a portfolio, so I’m trying to build one up, but I can send you some MP3s of past musicans/groups/singers I’ve recorded. So… what do you have to lose? I’d love to work with you!

I’m going to a production meeting tomorrow. It starts at 7, and it’s at the director’s apartment. It’s supposed to be a chill environment; a place where everybody on the production staff can really meet one another and mingle. I’m dreading the thought of having to go. I’M SO AWKWARD. THIS WILL NEVER END WELL.
